Part of our goal at The Zeebah Place is to make every child who passes through our system, become an integral part of the society. This includes eventually getting transferred to a mainstream school. We, however, do not take the transition recommendations to a mainstream school lightly. The child will be evaluated individually to look out for several abilities and coping skills.
During the assessment for transitioning to a mainstream school, the following areas are considered:
- Academic skills
- Communication skills
- Social skills
- Behavioural skills
- Independence
For each registered child at our centre, a prerequisite assessment by our Clinical Team determines his / her deficiencies. An individualised program is designed based on the evaluation report.
Overtime programs are introduced, mastered and generalised to make sure the child applies these skills at home and other social settings.
